Core Training #2 – Connect online as a group
Make It Real, Part A: Turn Dreams into Strategies
Find the right strategies for making change where you live. Start by mapping power in your community and identifying the power you already have. What strategies are working for you? What new strategies can make you more effective? How might you build Resistance, Resilience, Restoration and Reimagination into your work?
Note: You can take Part A alone or with Part B in one day (with a lunch or dinner break) or on separate days.

You’ll come away with:
- An understanding of what it means to build collective power
- An assessment of the power your group has, and the power of opponents
- A clear assessment of your group’s current strategies, and an understanding of your group’s possibilities going forward
- Strategies you can use to organize for Resistance, Resilience, Reimagination and Restoration.
Cost
PeoplesHub is committed to making trainings accessible, regardless of ability to pay. We are also dedicated to fair compensation for our trainers, who, like you, have worked hard for change in their communities. We use a sliding scale of $200 – $750 per training to ensure our trainings are accessible to groups with a wide range of resources, and to allow folks to “pay it forward” so that other groups may experience high-quality training at a lower cost.
Payments beyond the true value of the training are considered tax deductible donations.
If cost is a significant barrier for your group, please contact us and we can talk about how to make your training happen.
What do you do to prepare?
Please choose one or two people to work with the trainer on setting a time, establishing an internet link, and managing the space where you’ll meet.
You’ll just need a place to gather; a laptop or desktop computer; and a willingness to share! Maybe some pizza.
Note: if you don’t have a computer, talk to us about other devices that may work.
